We offer a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere just four miles outside of Mitchell. The Roost Roost Ranch is an all season pheasant hunting lodge that sets in the middle of over 400 acres of specially- groomed habitat that was started over 25 years ago.

South Dakota Pheasant Hunting Season which starts the third weekend in October and runs until the end of December, is what we know best. Our professionals will guide you on over 50,000 acres of prime pheasant habitat. This part of South Dakota boasts a wealth of birds and a three-bird limit per day will guarantee you a quality experience.

Our lodge was built in 1994 with a large addition added in 2000. The Rooster Roost Ranch Lodge is beautifully decorated and features seven bedrooms where you can get a restful nights sleep after the hunt.

You will find personalized service at the Rooster Roost Ranch! We will provide you will all the comforts of home including three home-cooked meals per day.
